Funny Stories

A friend told me this the other day, and I thought I would share it with you chaps, and perhaps spawn a flood of similar stories.

A man walked into a local cycling shop run by an pretty good ex- bike racer. Obviously motivated by the publicity surrounding Sir Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, and British Cycling successes he was looking at an expensive lightweight model, intrigued by the look of a proper racing bike . Turning to the owner he asked;

"How fast does it go?"

Hope he answered "As fast as you can make it go".

This is a true story! A VSCCA member tells of of the time he wheeled out his 'Special' from the garage, for the first time.

I think it was based on an MG TC, and he spent many years building the car. As he stood proudly admiring his handy-work, two small boys - who were walking past - stopped to look at this amazing machine.

One asked "Did you make that car, mister?"

The owner [now almost bursting with pride] answered "Yes!"

The other lad then asked "Why!"
