Re: Some photos by Chris
Good shot of the car but... bear with me I'm very old (about three-quarters of Bob's age) such a shame that we have to have full-face helmets, roll-over bars (as an Engineer I'd say that bit of pipe is useless anyway) and (as a Photographer) all that horrible metal in the background. btw, if I were racing I'd want a roof and air-bags
I've started buying books of photos taken "back in the day" (as the Yanks would have it); it is almost impossible to take racing photos without a rubbish background these days (even with access all areas) and some of the old photos taken on relatively simple cameras with shortish lenses are a joy to look at.
Rant over, I'll see if I can find anything you guys might be interested in.

Pete, I have bought a lot of B&W pictures from Ted Walker (who posts on TNF) of Ferret Photographs, they decorate my office wall, and include not only Fangio and Moss, but Graham Whitehead, Horace Gould, and Brian Shawe-Taylor. All 'heroes' of mine back 'in the day'.
While I have many far better pictures taken with my second hand Canon D500 (technically speaking only), than these the quality considering the equipment is amazing. I remember when spectating in the fifties how close to the track the photographers stood and without any safety barriers. Nothing but a quick step back if things got scary.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, however, knowing that you a are a resourceful type ............ Welcome home!
