Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
My latest wheeze! A place for the photographers to post their photos (OK Pete?), this a random pick to get the Gallery underway. Perhaps it may persuade a few more people to sigh up and show off their prowess. Well we can only hope.

This chap was an interested spectator at Donington when the BTCC were testing.
Re: Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
Well I never!....after patiently waiting 7 days, 'they' allowed me to post my photograph in "Silverstone Classic". Rather than incur the wrath of the 'Punctuation Police', I refrained from using any abbreviation of "photograph".

Re: Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
Well done Greg, as far as I could tell there was no reason for the 'ban', however, get your own picture gallery, I don't want to take the blame .... sorry! Credit for yours.
Any Idea Who This is? UK Members only.
Can you name this current UK champion?
Antipodean members are cordially invited to have a crack at it.
Re: Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
UK Members only, eh...wait until the Anti-Discrimination Board hear about this!
I am taking a fence - and a gate as well.

Apologies Greg, I was merely trying to save you any embarrassment.

Too Late !
Is it Andrew Jordan?
I know it's NOT Greg Snape, in the Kieft.
Re: Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
Yeah! It's Andrew Jordan, it says so on the side of the car! Now you know why I tried to bar smart R's Aussies. Tin of Fosters next time you are at Silverstone, cobber!
Re: Historic Racing Pictures by Bob
Cobber....now there's a word you seldom here in Australia these days. The younger generation is adopting 'American' as their language. Examples:-
Bloke or cove....now 'dude'.
Mate or cobber....now 'buddy'.
Bonzer or beaut....now 'cool'........and so on.
Bob, I had a lot of trouble reading "Andrew Jordan", on the A40 - how could you read it with that silly hat on

Bob, Thank you for the link to your photos [via email]. Outstanding !
You must have been out standing in all sorts of weather for those shots. Seriously, I have not seen better.

Why thank you Greg, praise is always welcome, even from someone whose photographic skills have been shown to be somewhat less than average.
All are free to download so you could probably make a fortune selling copies to the Outback cognoscenti.
Very kind regards,
Mr Bull.

This one is for Pete, our Black and White man. Ah! But does he know what it is?
This really was taken with a Box Brownie long ago and not too far away.

1934 Derby-Maserati.
Moss on a Cooper-Alta T23? God, was it ugly, not exactly a beauty like the Vanwall 58. Don't really know, but must be Silverstone on a weekend GP.

This Moss's own Cooper Alta, purpose built for him, but never very good, he also had a standard Cooper (Bristol) with an Alta engine running on nitro methane, but that is a whole different story.
The second car is a Rover Formula 2 car1 Really!!!
Bob.
Thanks for identifying the Derby, I had completely forgotten what it was.
