Blundering Administrators
Er! You may have noticed that all of the previous content has disappeared! I am still learning about organising a forum, so apologies to Greg and Pete for removing their valued contributions to the dustbin of history, I can only say that I know what not to do in future.
Please do not be discouraged, things can only get better. To quote the Captain of the Titanic.

Well Greg mention of the unmentionable does tend to put me into a spin, so I am pleased (if not to say relieved) that I can shift the blame on to your, undoubtedly, broad shoulders. Please note that while we have no moderators on the forum the tone of your language is quite shocking. Please refrain from using words like bugger .... Oops! Oh bugger. I've gone and done it myself.
Have you heard 'Bent-Axle Bob' by Slim Dusty? No relation I can assure you.(Bent-axle or Slim)
I trust you are not beyond saving

Tried [twice] to post in "Historic Racing", and failed!
Is it because I am using "English Letters" when typing, instead of "French Letters"?

Incroyable Le Greg!
To avoid unwanted repercussions continue to use the Gallic method. Perhaps you tried prior to me correcting the issue that blocked anyone except me posting on any subject.
Try again using 'strine.
Not so Slim and not so Dusty.
Re: Blundering Administrators
Worked OK without photo.
All will be well once you get all the bugs out of it.....and that doesn't mean my VW

Re: Blundering Administrators
Nothing to it Greg, but I must admit I had not thought as far ahead as posting pictures.
This is also another Aussie named Greg., any idea who and what?
First brain teaser of the new forum.

Re: Blundering Administrators
Still wont let me post a photo. Photo appears in 'Preview', but not in post.
Re: Blundering Administrators
Greg, I have posted this picture of a well know motor sport character in order to check the method of posting a snap. I done this a 'member' not as Aministrator, so what works for me should work for you, assuming the picture does appear in the post!
I do via the quick reply section at the bottom of the page. I'll click send and see if it works.
No probs, must be the Australian cyberspace or just too much Fosters.
Keep me informed and if the trouble continues I will get on the experts.

Not my photo, unfortunately; this was made for me by another disturbed (ar)soul who has an Elan.
Re: Blundering Administrators
I had an Elan once...gave it away handed it on to youngest son. It wasn't as nice as that one.
Re: Blundering Administrators
Holy Christ on a Jumping Jesus bike, Bob; I've spent the last twenty minutes composing a most witty response on another thread only to be told that new members can't post for seven days- heck... I might not last that long.

Why not post some WHITTY responses on this forum then, it would make a change.

Another 'O' in Lotus [LOO-TUS] would be good.Pete Taylor wrote:

Showed my son....he's a real Lotus 'nut' [Twin-cam Europa, 340 R, Exige, Evora].
Re: Blundering Administrators
I might have hoped that someone would have had a few complimentary words to say about the way the forum is running smoothly lately. No missing posts every apostrophe in it's place! Come on chaps, we had enough whingeing when things went wrong, how about a word of praise for our Administrator? He's doing a wonderful job.

Sterling job indeed, running very smoothly.
Great little forum, posting here is relaxing, no rush, no show off, just a laugh with friends over a drink really.

Crumbs, Bob...my dear old Mum taught me "If you cannot say anything nice, do not say anything at all".
Haven't seen Admin lately...is he out looking for a better hat, perhaps? I'm not game to tell him what a marvelous job he has done with this forum, in case he may need an even bigger hat.
Had a laugh, Regga, now where's my drink?
