Greg, I am I right in believing that GEAR is described as, and I quote from a member,
"Old Farts in old cars." ?

Bob, that's a fairly accurate description, although it can turn 'fair-dinkum' [serious, for the English-speaking] at times. It's all about having some fun, driving old cars with your mates......without running into each other.

Thank you for 'tidying up' the mess I made.  Embarassed

I really like this photo Greg, I think I already saw it on the other forum.
I watched the 12 hours in February live on internet and couldn't remember the last time I had so much fun watching a race. I don't bother to watch anymore F1.

I like the heat-exchanger for your beer tinnies cooler behind the bumper! What's that barge behind you?

Sorry Pete, I just noticed your question.  Embarassed The "barge" is a Chrysler Valiant.

A swim-suit company 'borrowed' [they paid me] my Spyder for some advert. photo shots. I took some photos of them taking photos. They wouldn't let me keep the model, though.  Crying or Very sad

Bob,
The Spyder is a replica [Porsche mechanicals, fibre-glass body]. Until about 4 years ago, I raced the Spyder. The circuit owners decided ALL open cars must have roll-over protection, and I decided not to make this rather pretty car very ugly, by adding a lot of pipe-work. That's when I built the Beetle.

The 30/98 now has a new custodian.

Nice try Greg, but that little 'un is clearly a very young Kimi Raikkonen, so the Old Geyser must be a Very Old Finn.

Greg,
It's good to know that the younger generation are starting at an early age. Well done Angus.

However, on another subject looking at the photograph I am a little underwhelmed by the hospitality aspect of your Equipe, I am used to better things:

... so perhaps I will give GEAR a miss this season.
